How to Reserve a Court
Simple steps for members.
1. Sign In
Use the Email link or Text code tab on the sign-in page (text is available when your club has US carrier SMS approval). Password also works if you have set one.
- Enter the exact email on your club roster (same address you used in CourtReserve).
- Check your inbox — and your Spam or Promotions folder (Gmail often hides the link there).
- Tap the link, then tap Sign in on the confirmation page. Links expire in 15 minutes.
- Optional: Password sign-in if you have set one (or use forgot-password on the login page).
- Text code: enter your roster phone — you receive a one-time code when SMS is approved for your club.
If text sign-in is not yet available for your club, use email link — it works the same way. You can still use Text the group on a booking to open your phone's Messages app with other players (that is not sent by the club).
Having trouble? Contact your community administrator and include the email address you expect to be on the roster.
2. Choose a sport & time
- From the home page, tap your sport by name (Pickleball, Tennis, Bocce, …). Home lists sports first, then My Reservations.
- If there are open Find a Player requests for that sport, a short list appears above the calendar — tap a row or View all → for the full board.
- Use Day (default), Week, or Month at the top of the calendar — the blue View toggle makes it clear which mode is active. Week shows seven days with a vertical time heatmap and small colored event pills (hover on web, long-press a pill in the mobile app for full details). Month (web only) shows a Sun–Sat calendar grid — seven days across, one week per row — with the same heatmap and pills in each day cell. Tap a day to open that day's grid.
- In Day view, use Today, Prev / Next, or Jump to a date to pick the day you want.
- All calendar times are in the club's local timezone (Florida / Eastern for VeronaWalk), not your phone's timezone if you are traveling.
- Tap a green Open slot (green circle with the court number) on the court and time you want.
- Choose how long to play, invite other players if you like, tap Continue, review your details, then tap Reserve court.
Gray Booked (X) slots are someone else’s game — tap for read-only details. Blue Yours (checkmark) slots are your booking, or a game you’re listed on (view only — ask the booker to change or cancel). Club blocks use letters: P Open Play, L League, C Clinic, T Tournament, M Maintenance.
Reserve a room
Some communities offer rooms (card room, meeting room, etc.) separate from sports courts. When your club has rooms set up, open Reserve a Room from the menu (☰) — rooms are not listed as a sport on the home page.
- Open the menu (☰) and tap Reserve a Room (or go to /room).
- Pick a date and tap a green Open slot on the room you want.
- Choose length, add an optional Purpose (e.g. board meeting), and tap Reserve room.
- Room bookings appear on My Reservations alongside court bookings.
Rooms use club-wide hours and limits set by administrators. The room calendar does not use Open Play / League labels. Player invites are not available for room bookings.
3. Before you play
- You'll get a confirmation email with a calendar attachment — open it to add the reservation to your phone or computer.
- The day before your court time, we'll send a reminder email to you and invited players (accepted or still pending). If you opted in to text messages, you'll also get an SMS reminder with who's playing.
- View everything under My Reservations on the menu.
Cancel or change plans
- Open My Reservations, or tap your green booking on the calendar.
- Tap Cancel reservation if you can't make it — please cancel early so others can play.
- Most sports require at least 2 hours' notice before start time (your sport's rules show on the booking page).
Player invites & group texting
When you book a court, you can invite other roster members by name or load a saved group (your regular foursome). They get an email with one-tap Accept and Decline buttons — no sign-in needed — and can also respond on My Reservations.
After players accept, use Text the group on your booking or invitation — it opens your phone's Messages app with everyone who's in (not sent by the club, so there's no extra fee from us). Players need a phone number on their profile.
Club reminders and sign-in codes are separate one-way texts from VeronaWalk Sports. Group chat is between players on your own phone plan.
Find a Player
Need a partner or sub? Use Find a Player to post something like “Need one player, 3.0+, Saturday on Court 3.” Other roster members can reply with their contact info. You'll confirm before Post request or Send reply. Mark your post Filled when you have who you need.
After you choose a sport to book, open Find a Player requests for that sport also show in a short list above the court calendar — tap View all → for the full board.
Quick tips
- Each sport has its own roster — you must be approved for that sport before you can book.
- Daily limits and max play time are set per sport (shown under the date on the calendar).
- Week view in the mobile app matches the web week strip: heatmap plus event pills (long-press a pill for details). Month is web-only.
- Week and Month views on the website show a time heatmap and colored event pills per day — hover a pill for full details. The fastest way to compare days before opening the full grid.
- Colored blocks (P Open Play, L League, C Clinic, T Tournament, M Maintenance) are scheduled by the club and cannot be booked.
- QR codes at the courts bring you to the right sport — you still need to sign in.
